The part-time Payroll Administrator is a newly created position that works onsite at our Milwaukee Plant.
The position reports to our CFO and current Payroll Administrator This position will work cross functionally with Finance, HR, and Information Management.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Manages Employee’s Payroll Information in HRIS (Paycor) and Time Management System (Odyssey)
* Runs weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
* Manages timecards, editing, and uploads timekeeping files.
Maintains Master Payroll File.
* Calculates incentive pay, and bonuses.
* Processes garnishment, union dues, HRA disbursements and 401k payment
* Monitors accuracy of payroll benefit and tax deductions within HRIS system
* Analyze and reconcile tax, fringe benefit and payroll accounts and accruals.
* Collaborates with CFO and 401k Administrator on compliance, disbursements and yearly audits including ERISA 5500 filing.
* Prepares, and maintains various tax and labor reporting spreadsheets.
* Maintains and updates payroll policies and procedures.
* Actively maintains knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and compliance standards.
* Works collaboratively with Employees, Finance, HR, and Information Management.
Experience
* Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, payroll practices, payroll taxes and wage withholding orders.
* Requires strong intermediate math, spreadsheet, and computer skills.
* Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions.
* Requires superior interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with employees, staff, management, and customers.
* Ability to find, understand and apply local, state, and federal rules and regulations relating to payroll and payroll taxes.
* Must be accurate and detail oriented.
* Ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to multitask with specific deadlines.
* Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with employees regarding their issues and concerns.
* Must maintain absolute confidentiality of employee and company information.
