Job Summary
The Accountant II supports the department in general accounting activities for nutrition services.
The salary range is $60,209 - 86,470 (12 months/260 days)

Qualifications
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a similar field.
One to three years of experience in an accounting environment is required.
Equivalent combinations of training, education and experience may be considered
Responsibilities
Monitors prime vendor activity and identifies inconsistencies.
Provides school support to ensure receiving and matching is executed appropriately.
Coordinates necessary adjustments and inconsistencies with vendor.
Develops processes for school administrative functions.
Analyzes, monitors and assists in reconciliation of food vendor payments.
Analyzes and monitors other expenditures for accuracy and timeliness.
Assists in the development of department Standard Operating Procedures, particularly those related to school activity.
Assists in expansion of location costing and maintains budgetary control.
Assisst and backs-up the Business Specialist as necessary.
Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.
