Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is a direct report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
This position will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik’s culture by supporting those who consistently provide “best in class” service to our guests.
To support the Sendik’s Team, the Financial Analyst will read, work with, analyze, and communicate with data to improve day-to-day operations.
You will be working as part of a fast-paced team dedicated to providing mission-critical information to key stakeholders in the company.

Duties/Responsibilities
Serve customers, associates, vendors and partners while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service
Calculate and monitor key performance indicators for timely and accurate reporting
Conduct sales, margin, and labor analyses and report data as actionable insights
Prepare benchmarking reports
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support Company requests
Work with cross-functional teams to problem-solve and implement solutions
Cultivate relationships with key business units, increasing information sharing
Help prepare the annual operating budget, forecasts, and financial reports and analysis
Evaluate operating expenses and analyzing variances to budget and prior years
Adopt a continuous improvement mindset and proactively seek ways to improve upon existing procedures and processes
Continued development and maintenance of budgeting, forecasting, and business intelligence tools and models
Assist with physical inventories at the warehouse and stores
Assist with other accounting functions and projects as assigned
Assist in the stores during peak holiday seasons as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with business related coursework
Accounting or business experience preferred
Strong computer skills including an advanced level of Microsoft Excel proficiency, experience with reporting, data management, and business intelligence tools is a plus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of security and ability to handle sensitive information
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organization skills
Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
