Position Summary:
The Accounting Intern is a temporary position providing broad and diversified general accounting and finance support to the Finance Team.
The requirements of the position include the specific Functional Responsibilities as detailed below, along with special projects and any additional responsibilities that may be assigned.
Employee must be an independent thinker and should be able to problem solve within the responsibilities of the position.
Requires direct interaction with other functional areas (i.
e.
Information Technology, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Service, etc.
) relative to requests for information, reconciliation issues, and/or to address other issues as they arise.
Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to effectively handle confidential information are required.
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be able to work with minimal supervision, be very deadline driven, and be extremely organized.
Reports to: Senior Financial Analyst
Functional Responsibilities:
Provide support for Business Central (BC) implementation project including reconciliation of data, testing of transactions within BC
This may include general ledger, payables, receivables, or production areas
Assist in creation of process documentation for BC transactions
Perform studies of production processes to validate BC routings
Utilize actual labor hours by production order to validate hours used in routings
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or directed

Ability to work independently to solve problems and to reconcile information
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment
Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Detail oriented and excellent follow-through skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel
Educational Qualifications:
Enrolled in four-year accounting or business program with core accounting courses completed
