AbleLight is currently hiring a Staff Accountant.
This is a hybrid role with the ability to come into the office in Brookfield and/or Watertown, WI at least 3 days out of the week.
The Staff Accountant will participate in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Primary responsibilities include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports, in accordance with U.
S.
GAAP.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or equivalent experience
• At least 1-2 years of accounting experience or in similar capacity.
• Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices a plus.
• Familiar with U.
S.
GAAP.
• Highly organized, attention to detail, process improvement focus and intermediate Excel skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on business partnership and collaboration.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all finance teams across the organization.
• Driven to provide high levels of customer satisfaction, for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurately recording of journal entries by compiling source data and analyzing business activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations, ad-hoc reports, financial statements, and other documents that support the organization's financial position.
• Provide support for annual financial statement and regulatory audits.
• May be assigned ownership of a complex segment of the accounting function.
• Acts as a knowledge resource for the team and can clearly communicate and answer questions; works collaboratively to address issues.
• Ensures task deadlines are met, supports month end close and other key deliverables for their assigned areas.
