CL&D has a great opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Hartland, WI.
The Accounting Specialist will have a primary focus on Accounts Receivable activities but also will have some Accounts Payable responsibilities.
Responsibilities: * Maintain, analyze, and manage financial records adhering to accounting principles and company procedures.
* Accounts Receivable: * Coordinate with shipping and customer service for timely and accurate processing of invoices and credit memos.
* Resolve payment discrepancies with customers and internal teams.
* Handle credit card payments and consignment inventory billing.
* Ensure credit approval aligns with company policies.
* Collaborate on delinquent invoice collection and credit line reviews.
* Accounts Payable: * Support primary AP personnel in processing invoices and vendor payments.
* Responsible for processing specific vendor invoices.
* Generate and distribute reports, and complete month-end journal entries.
* Prepare various scheduled and special reports, and contribute to accounting department projects.
* Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Abilities: * Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or minimum two years of comparable experience.
* Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel * Experience in ERP systems and comfort utilizing online customer portals.
* Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Able to work both collaboratively with a team and in an individual environment.
* Able to manage and complete multiple tasks.
* Must have the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining organization and attention to detail * Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
