2B manufacturer that specializes in the design and manufacturing of power and control electronics (frequency converters, process automation and control systems), and electrical machines (generators and motors).
They are headquartered in Spain and are a global leader in the renewable energies space.
They have over 4,500 employees and operate in 21 countries.
The culture is inclusive, with a heavy Spanish influence.
The Tax Specialist role is a newly created, so it will be especially suited to candidates that enjoy establishing processes and creating their role.
It will report to the Controller.
Although they are a Global company, this role will be focused on domestic sales and use taxes and U.
S.
tax filings.
So there is not likely to be 'schedule creep' associated with Global calls/meetings.
The Due to this being in a manufacturing environment, there is little hybrid offerings at this time.
role will be in office, five days a week, with some flexibility.
The facility is downtown, Milwaukee.
Some additional duties to include but not limited to:
Perform detailed tax research and analysis to interpret and apply relevant tax laws and regulations to the company's operations and transactions.
Monitor changes in state and local tax laws and proactively communicate their potential impact on the company's tax position and business operations.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax planning initiatives and compliance efforts.
Provide a lead role in managing tax audits by state and local tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
Participate in cross-functional projects to identify tax-saving opportunities and optimize the company's overall tax strategy.
Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on state and local tax matters.
Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax-related activities.
Provide support to the Accounting Department during the monthly close and reporting period.
Analysis of Transfer Pricing between foreign intercompany partners
Identify, Research and Implementation of Strategies to capture benefits of Tax Credits, both federal and local
Requirements
Associates level or above Accounting Degree
Proven experiences in developing systems and processes
Preferred previous experiences with Corporate Sales and Use Tax compliance regulations and Corporate Income Tax
Experiences with the preparation and review of state and local tax returns, sales/use, property, and other relevant tax filings.
