Payroll Accountant

Our client is a non-profit organization in the Milwaukee area seeking a temporary Payroll Accountant to join their team in early January.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of payroll and Paycom experience and prior work experience in the non-profit space is a plus.
The position is full-time in the office Monday through Friday.

*RESPONSIBILITIES* * Utilize the Paycom platform to process and manage payroll efficiently.
* Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions using Paycom.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
* Support month-end and year-end close activities including account reconciliations and journal entries relating to payroll accounts.
* Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll using Paycom.
* Other ad hoc accounting projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.
*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role.
* Paycom experience required.
* Non-profit experience a plus.
* In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $30.
