Senior Accountant/Analyst

We are assisting a non-profit client in Milwaukee with finding an interim/temp Senior Accountant/Analyst for the next 4 to 6 months.
This position will be a hands-on resource reporting to the Controller and assist with tasks ranging from account reconciliations, month-end close, analysis, data mapping for new software system, etc.
They are open to part-time (3 or 4 days per week, 24-32 hours per week) or full-time (5 days per week, 40 hours).
Position is hybrid with two days on-site required and the other days remote.

*RESPONSIBILITIES* * Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
* Assist with Month-end close and journal entries.
* Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
* Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making processes.
* Assist with the data mapping and validation from old software to new software.
* Ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned by Controller.
*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* * Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus.
* At least 5-10 years’ experience of proven experience in the accounting and financial analysis space.
* Non-profit industry experience a plus.
* Strong skills with accounting software and Excel required.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
