Job Description The Fund Administration practice of U.
S.
Bank Global Fund Services (USBGFS) provides value-added services to a robust and rapidly growing client base, which includes mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, offshore funds and other investment companies.
The Tax Analyst works as part of a diverse team that supports our clients as well as being invested in your career growth.
As an integral part of the team, you are responsible for providing value-added services to investment companies and investment advisors.
As part of our duties as trusted advisors, our team members work collaboratively internally with in the firm, our clients, mid-sized, regional, and Big 4 accounting firms.
Through our in-house internal training program and mentorship, you will be supported in your role as you progress in your career here.
Key Responsibilities: Reconciliations: Assist with alternative investment taxable income calculations, including book-to-tax differences, dividend analysis, allocations to partners and provisions.
Federal and State Income Tax Compliance: Assist with IRS Forms 1099s, 1120, 1065 and Schedule K-1s along with any required state and local tax forms.
Coordinate the distribution of necessary tax forms and supporting schedules to investors/partners.
International Reporting FATCA/CRS: Assist with informational returns and research requirements.
Tax Research: Assist with tax technical and financial reporting guidance, and requirements, research foreign withholding tax and reporting requirements.
Project Management: Assist with multiple tax engagements throughout the year while working closely with internal business departments to service our clients while maintaining important deadlines.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience - One to two years of related work experience Preferred Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree required.
Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Demonstrates ethics and integrity, adhering to USBGFS’ core values and holds others accountable for upholding ethics and values.
Is a team-oriented professional, interacting collaboratively with team members and others throughout the organization.
