Position: Billing Specialist Reports to: Administrative Services Manager Summary: Utility Traffic & Restoration, LLC (UTR) is now accepting applications for an opening for a Billing Specialist.
UTR is a union contractor specializing in traffic control and surface restoration services for utility companies and their contractors throughout the Midwest.
Primary responsibilities: - Code incoming traffic control, flagging, and/or restoration field tickets to prep for billing - Enter production/billing units into company software, create invoices, and maintain field ticket & invoicing documentation - Invoice submittal over email and company portals - Pricelist creation and maintenance - Complete lien wavers and prepare for notary public signature and/or notarize lien wavers - Post invoices into accounting software when finalized - Assist in AR aging reports (open/unpaid invoices) - Monitor and respond to customer invoicing questions and issues - Time sheet entry for field crews - Front desk duties: greeting and directing visitors, getting mail, opening and/or handing packages to employee’s.
Note: the office you will be working out of does not get much foot traffic.
- Assist in other departments as needed and any other additional duties as requested.
Notes: - Full-time, non seasonal.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with 30 min lunch are the typical hours.

- Proficiency with Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Proficiency with Adobe PDF preferred (combining, organizing, editing, signing, etc.
) - Proficiency with computers and technology in general.
- Willingness to always ask questions - Strong communication skills, both oral and written, is required - Ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and employee’s - Ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict deadlines - Valid driver’s license class D with clean driving record - Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing (pre-employment and randoms) - Must always be reliable and professional EEO/AA Employer https://alvahgroup.
