The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions for real estate and private equity assets, and coordinate tax returns and personal financials.
The job description includes things accountants love to do, including preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliations, record and reconcile activities in real estate syndications including acquisition entries, review, record and reconcile the monthly waterfall between entities.
The fun list goes on to include preparing accounts payable, writing checks and coordinate draws, track actual to budget activity for real estate development, maintain general ledger, complete monthly bank reconciliations, assist in tax return preparation and distribute K-1’s, prepare distribution calculations, fair market value calculations for private equity reporting, and prepare personal financial statements for owner.
The ideal candidate will have at a minimum an Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus, a minimum of five years of accounting experience with an emphasis in real estate and/or finance preferred.
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and very analytical, have strong organization skills, and knowledge of GAAP and accounting in general.
Qualified individuals must have experience with Appfolio property management accounting software, QuickBooks; Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel and Word and must be able to work in a GREAT TEAM environment and be willing to work flexible hours.
