The Headlines:
As a Beverage Research and Development Intern you will be part of our Early Talent Program.
Our Early Talent Program is Molson Coors' undergraduate summer internship program, where students are exposed to the beverage industry, engaged in real-world problem-solving, and immersed in social and educational opportunities with other interns.
The internship is a full-time summer position from May 6 - August 9 (Canada interns) and May 29 - August 9 (U.
S.
interns).
Housing assistance is available to candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
Applicants must be an undergraduate student (enrolled in undergraduate courses), during the summer internship, to participate in the Early Talent Program.
Interns who successfully complete the Early Talent Program are considered for full-time positions within Molson Coors Beverage Company, upon graduation.
You will work very closely with the R&D Innovation Development Team in identifying optimal citrus flavors for use in NPD applications, learn about current citrus flavors used, and potential optimization in stability, usage, carrier, and cost.
Most of your time will be spent working with current/new recipes and flavor house suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Support the Development Team in potential renovation and NPD requiring citrus flavor(s)
Establish requirements: stability, usage, carrier, and cost
Investigating, validating & summarizing citrus flavors in use with associated specifications and applications for North America
Work with pilot team to understand process on both systems and share detail out with development team
Engage with identified flavor houses to gain insight into citrus flavor capabilities and associated quality parameters.
Including process benchmarking & reapplication across processes, potential review/document flavor storage/usage of citrus flavors in North America
The Other Qualifications:
You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Flavor Chemist, Fermentation Scientist, Sensory Scientist
Demonstrated self-motivated, personal leadership
Interpersonal collaboration skills
Ability to work with data and information
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical data to support recommendations
Basic problem-solving skills
Familiarity with structured problem tools useful but not mandatory
