*DEPARTMENT:* Milwaukee – W227N722 West mound Drive, Waukesha, WI 55186
*REPORTS TO: *Operations Manager
*GRADE: *B, Non-Exempt
*HOURS: *M-F 730am/8am – 430pm/5pm and rotating Saturdays 9a-noon.
*Summary:* This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties and customer service tasks.
Primary warehouse duties include but not limited to loading and unloading material within a warehouse and storage facility while utilizing forklifts, crane, and other handling equipment to move material in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
Materials range from stone slabs, tile, sinks, tools, and cabinets.
Safety, sanitation, and organization of warehouse and business property is included in this position.
Customer Service duties include but not limited to assisting customers with product selections, loading, and unloading product for customers, answering phones and emails, providing outstanding service, and develop a strong knowledge base of company products.
Applicants must be good with their hands and able to use power tools.
Customer service skills are important, along with problem solving, self-motivation, and independent working.
*Essential Responsibilities:* ● Move materials and inventory from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas ● Load and unload both inbound and outbound material ● Tag and identify material using appropriate method ● Oversee and maintain forklift; including maintenance of log book ● Verify all equipment and material used in loading and unloading meets/exceeds company standards, and report any problems or needs to the manager ● Ensure inventory area is accessible and safe for employees and customer traffic ● Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe for customers and employees.
● Engage with customers in a helpful, friendly, and polite manner ● Provide selections for wholesale and retail customers of stone slabs, tile, sinks, grout, and tools · Process customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures · Administer shipping and receiving for all material, including tile and stone store transfers and orders · Office duties such as answering phones, data entry, inventory, and processing payments ● Assisting with inventory, opening/closing of store procedures, fulfilling request from other MWT locations ● Work to ensure the success of the store and company · Perform other job-related duties as assigned to or as operational needs dictate · Regular reliable attendance is an essential requirement for the job *Qualifications:* · Possession of a diploma and six months of warehouse experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred · Strong customer service skills.
Willing to go above and beyond · Effectively prioritize workload and handle multiple projects at the same time · Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and other equipment as required · Reliable to get work completed, dependable to be at work on time and daily · Able to learn and retain information · Has experience working with power tools and heavy materials · Minimum age of 18 years · Keeps safety first and keeps a clean and organized work environment · Have a team mentality, will help when and where needed · Detail minded, pays attention, and can learn additional duties · Must be motivated, hardworking, team player and have a positive attitude · Ability to understand Company operations, procedures, and follow them · Valid driver’s license and ability to travel · Possession of a diploma and six months of warehouse experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred · Customer *Physical/Environmental Requirements: * · Heavy work.
Exerting up to 100 lbs.
of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 lbs.
of force frequently, and/or up to 50 lbs.
of force constantly to move objects.
· Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, push, pull, and lifting frequently.
