Position Summary:
Mount Mary University is seeking an individual to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychological Science, beginning in either January 2024 or August 2024.

We are seeking an individual with expertise in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and/or Cognitive Psychology.
The faculty member will teach courses in introductory psychology, statistics for behavioral sciences, and research methods, as well as courses in their area of expertise including (but not limited to) forensic psychology, psychopathology, criminal psychology, cognitive psychology, and psychology of learning.
The faculty member will also have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate students and foster growth through advising, engaging students in research, and supervising internships.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach 12 credits per semester of undergraduate courses including both introductory and upper-level courses
classes possible
Advise and mentor psychological science majors and minors
Assess student and program learning outcomes
Develop and revise curriculum
Provide service to the Psychological Science program, the University, and the community
Engage in ongoing professional development, including undergraduate research
Qualifications:
Doctorate (Ph.
D.
or Psy.
D.
) in Psychology or closely related field (ABD considered if degree is conferred before start date)
Strong commitment to quality teaching in the liberal arts and to the social justice mission of the university
Experience teaching diverse learners using inclusive practices is preferred
