Position Summary: Adjunct Instructor - Studio Art - Spring 2024 Semester Course: ART 105 001 - Two-Dimensional Design & Color Theory (Mondays & Wednesdays) Course Description: Develops working knowledge of the basic elements and principles of two-dimensional design and color theory through exploration of creative problem solving, skill building, and critical thinking, with projects in a variety of media.
Foundation course.
Primary Responsibilities: Teach two-dimensional design and color theory Work with core curriculum students from all undergraduate programs Provide student support using campus systems Perform other department related needs as assigned for faculty Skills and Experience: Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working with underrepresented students and students from at-risk backgrounds Experience and understanding of current issues and developments in higher education Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Mount Mary students and employees Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize projects Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups, facilitate group process and foster collaborative decision making Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duties satisfactorily.
