The East Troy Community School District is hiring for the Head Varsity Football Coach position starting for the 2024-25 season.
The goal of this position is to organize, coordinate and promote a comprehensive athletic program for the sport of football that is designed to meet the needs and interests of the school community.
To provide effective leadership that will ensure a positive, cohesive program and will stress the importance of academic achievement.
To demonstrate a high degree of ethics, professionalism, human relations and be a positive role model for all students.
*Pay: *$6,241.
33 per season
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Candidates are preferred to have previous High School coaching experience.
* Knowledge of youth programming
* CPR and first aid certification are encouraged
*ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Facilitation of the football program which establishes a presence in the school and community
* Supports multi-sport athletes
* Plan and implement the teaching of fundamentals, strategies, rules, and proper conditioning in the assigned sport
* A student-centered approach which includes flexibility is required
* Cooperate with the administration, fellow coaches and students to promote the best interests of the entire athletic program
* Provide for the safety of participants by inspecting facilities and equipment
* Ensure that adequate supervision is provided for all students involved in the program including locker rooms and buses
* Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team
* Assume responsibility for conduct of contestants in sport involved
* Implement appropriate procedures for handling injury situations; ensure the availability of a properly supplied first aid kit and emergency care cards at all times
* Communicate to all participants the policies of the team, local school, and School Board relating to school sponsored activities
* Be responsible for public relations and publicity for the assigned athletic program
* Establish procedures for communicating with parents/guardians
* Compile and maintain accurate individual and team performance records
* Participate in awards program(s) according to school procedure
* Enforce all rules of league and state associations
* Self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision
* Follow all other guidelines in the East Troy School District’s coaching handbook
