In 1980 you invaded our home (Milwaukee)

The purpose of this posting is to try and connect with the person that invaded our home in 1980.
I believe it was late August 1980.
You broke into our house.
The one pictured.
You pried open the side door with either a long screwdriver, or a crowbar.
There was no deadbolt on that door.
You went into the kitchen and turned on the light.
You took our phone off the hook.
But something happened.
And you did not finish what you started.
Or rather, we have no idea what your intentions were.
This is haunted me for 45 years.
 I’m putting this out there so I can get closure and understanding.
Please do not respond to this posting unless it was you, or you have knowledge of what happened.
I would like to hear what happened from your perspective.
