*Primary Function*
The Assistant General Counsel shall report to the Associate General Counsel, Head of Litigation.
Responsibilities include assisting with the development and execution of department strategies related to mass tort, product safety, active cases and outside counsel management.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage and further develop litigation programs related to mass tort litigation.
* Direct and oversee outside counsel on a variety of litigation matters, most notably product liability actions.
* Assist and implement litigation related data collection efforts and compliable with preservation obligations.
* Manage liability tenders and pursuit of indemnification and insurance rights
* Advise business units on various matters including product safety, warranty and insurance.
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
*Qualifications*
* Juris Doctorate
* 5+ years related work experience
*Additional Qualifications:*
* High personal integrity and ethical stature, maturity, confidence and ability to credibly interact at a high level with senior management and directors
* Demonstrated high level of process planning and organizational skills, with Six Sigma-like training preferable
* Experience coordinating multiple programs
* Willingness to travel to multiple global locations
