Located in Milwaukee/Waukesha area, we fight for the legal rights of workers! As Bilingual Paralegal, you will work closely with our attorneys, clients and paralegals to provide essential administrative and legal support.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Drafting and sending record request letters (i.
e.
, insurance file requests, personnel file requests, accident/police/incident report requests)
* Proofreading, editing, and sending various legal documents, including letters to clients and court filings
* Preparing “shell” documents for attorney(s), including responses to Equal Rights Division investigations, discovery requests and responses, and basic court filings
* Preparing Legal Services Agreements (LSA)
* Creating closing client file letters
* Scheduling appointments, telephone conferences, depositions, etc.
* Calendaring and tracking deadlines, including statutes of limitations and court-ordered deadlines.
* Communicating with clients, agencies, insurance companies and courts
* Mail processing, scanning and maintaining electronic files (saving documents to file, including electronic filings)
* Creating itemized billing summaries
* Managing attorney’s client list and notes regarding case status
* Preparing assigned attorney(s) for meetings and deadlines
* Assisting with special projects
* Other administrative assistance, as requested
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma.
Prefer associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate or relevant experience.
* Previous experience in a multitasking-oriented role is highly desirable.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
* Proficient in using MS Office software and databases.
* A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
* Ability to speak and understand written and verbal Spanish

Pay: From $19.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.
