20 – $79,726.
40 Job Summary: The Wellness Program Administrator will be responsible for implementing and coordinating all Milwaukee County Wellness initiatives, including but not limited to onsite events, programs, and activities.
Communicate wellness and general health benefits topics to employees and retirees.
Direct activity and resources of the 3rd party wellness vendor.
Provide customer support to health & welfare benefits operations.
Responsible for the overall program evaluation year to year.
Job Responsibilities: • Coordinate all onsite and offsite wellness activities including, but not limited to scheduling /securing vendor resources, and developing programs.
In conjunction with a 3rd party resource, plan, promote and conduct wellness education seminars and awareness campaigns.
• Plan, develop, and execute recurring general benefits, health, and wellness-specific communications to active and retired employees.
Includes general and targeted communications utilizing both internal and external resources.
• Develop and monitor metrics to assess savings, participation, tracking and executing all incentives/penalties related to participation/compliance.
Coordinate incentives with payroll/benefits systems.
Conducts participation surveys after all wellness activities.
• Chair Employee Committee on Wellness.
Initiate interest surveys and execute other methods to assess employee interest and engagement in wellness activities.
• Provides primary support to employees for all active health and welfare benefits, with emphasis placed on service issues related to the wellness plan.
• Responsible for communicating wellness initiatives, outcomes, performance metrics to senior leadership and County Officials on occasion.
• Other Duties as Assigned Required Education, License and Experience: • Current Resident of the State of Wisconsin • Wisconsin Driver’s License and maintained throughout employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare, and/or Education • At least three (3) years’ experience with Wellness Programming, Benefits Admin, Education, or Healthcare Preferred Experience: • WELCOA Certification preferred • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist preferred • Other benefits or healthcare related certifications preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, reports, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to Maintain sensitive or confidential information; Ability to speak effectively before both internal and/or external groups.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, scientific/technical journals and procedures, government regulations, financial and legal documents.
Ability to make decisions involving how a project or operation will be conducted.
