Summary – basic function of the role The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the infrastructure environments for Enerpac.
This will involve understanding server, storage and network requirements, upgrades, monitoring network performance and utilization, patch management, collaboration with vendors, predictive analysis/problem remediation before issues occur, and a host of other tactical and strategic activities to maintain a safe/stable computing environment.
The candidate must have a strong background in integrating cloud based architectures including O365 and Azure.
Experience supporting a hybrid cloud/on-premise environment is preferred.
This role must also communicate and work closely with various operations and support branches to help them achieve operational, company, branch, and department goals.
Shift: Monday – Friday; 8 – 4:30 pm or 8:30 – 5:00 pm; flexible Job Duties and Responsibilities Assess, approve, and administer all infrastructure hardware and software upgrades.
Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers (virtual, physical, on premise, and cloud based) and their associated operating systems and software.
Responsible for all servers, storage and network infrastructure across all PPC companies in a hybrid halfcloud/half-on premise environment.
Responsible for all data centers (to include environmental controls) across all PPC companies Manage and ensure optimal operation of all networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, etc.
) Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems (if applicable) Define clear performance goals and objectives and follow up with employees on progress.
Conduct annual performance reviews as well as provide regular leadership, inspiration, and coaching.
Lead the team in planning projects, as well as organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Manage and assess team staffing needs and available capacity.
Develop employee training plans annually to support their continued growth and development.
(This incudes any ad-hoc training needs deemed necessary to support an upcoming project, initiative, technology lift, etc.
) Establish and manage relationships with internal business partners, peers in IT leadership and executive stakeholders across Enerpac.
Communicate with external parties as needed representing the company in a positive, professional manner.
Perform yearly security audits with outside vendors.
Create and execute plan to remediate security issues and ensure compliance.
§ Manage operational costs by ensuring all IT spend is justified, approved and properly vetted for fit Other general IT duties as assigned or needed Skills and Competencies Significant experience with Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Information Security, TCP/IP, Meraki routing & switching, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, servers and cloud-based storage technologies required Experience in supporting environments with greater than 2500 users required.
(> 5000 strongly preferred) Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Understanding of current trends in cloud-based storage and networking, as well as familiarity with the current shared storage solutions Knowledge of telephony to include on-premise phone systems, hosted voice, VoIP Solid understanding of the OSI model Education and Experience Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems from an accredited college or university required.
(Some college plus 10-15 years of industry-related work experience will also be considered) 7-10 years of IT Management Experience – preferably in IT Infrastructure or Network Management roles Physical Demands Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight.
Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites.
Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations.
Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work Environment Primary work environment is temperature controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required.
Employee will be exposed to low levels of noise in an office.
