TEAC A-3440 PRO Reel to Reel Recorder "THE BIG KAHUNA" + NAB Adapters - $175 (West Allis)

I am selling many Reel to Reel Tape Decks currently so please see other listings for more goodies.
Vintage 1979-1985 Teac A-3440 Reel to Reel in just OK condition.
I have it priced very low as there is some small rust and some spot corrosion.
It is a Professional 4-Channel recorder that offers very high-quality sound recording with speeds 15 ips and 7 1/2 ips.
This deck has the Symul-Sync features which permits you to lay track after track of audio in perfect sync of other tracks.
I performed a brief test, fast forward and rewind where smooth and fast.
Tested record and play, all channels passed except channel 4 did not accept signal.
Cosmetics are OK and not MINT.
These decks serviced go for crazy $$ as I see these can fetch $1500-$2000 gone through.
This is a vintage device, born sometime between 1979 and 1985.
There is always a risk that periodic cleaning, or repairs will be needed to to keep it functioning perfectly given that it is a "Vintage" machine.
Please do not buy if you are nervous or do not understand the burden and stewardship of this vintage, revered machine.
I would at least lubricate motors and mechanism as necessary, clean and demagnetize heads, plus clean all controls and switches before putting into studio or home recording environment.
