Don't know if that's the issue or something else.

It DOES power on, and it plays.
If you can fix the display its a nice little unit for composing, sequencing or just using as an additional sound module with your MIDI rig.
About the size of a VHS video cassette, the Yamaha QY-20 is a portable workstation and music sequencer that was released in 1992.
It has a video cassette-sized keyboard with rubber keys, a large display, and 100 different styles, including rock and jazz.
Each style has six sections, including intro, fill, and ending.
The QY-20 also has a tone generator, sequencer, and auto-accompaniment capability.
