Marquette University invites applications for a full-time Finance/Real Estate instructor beginning in Fall 2024 at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice (non-tenure track).
The teaching load will be between 6 sections annually and 8 sections annually, depending on the mix of teaching, research, and service, which will be agreed upon and reflective of the Department’s programming needs and the candidate’s aspirations and interests.
For the 6-section teaching load, a successful candidate can expect a distribution of 60% teaching (6 sections annually), 25% service, and 15% research for faculty who publish one publication every two years, focusing on internationally recognized practitioner journals or academic journals.
For the 8-section teaching load, a successful candidate can expect a distribution of 70% teaching (8 sections annually) and 30% service.
The position also requires non-teaching responsibilities as a full-time faculty member, such as advising students, serving on academic committees, and other duties consistent with the mission of the Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare a well-organized syllabus and teaching plans that clearly reflect the program objectives and expectations, conduct well-prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engages students, administer meaningful and relevant assignments, and grade student’s work with an emphasis on student development.
Scholarly activities require the candidate to publish one publication every two years, focusing on internationally recognized practitioner journals or academic journals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.

A Ph.
D.
or DBA from an AACSB-accredited college of business program is preferred.
ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered.
Candidates with teaching experience in Corporate Finance, Enterprise Valuation, Corporate Restructuring, and Corporate Governance at the university level are strongly preferred.
