Property Accountant II
As an accountant in our property management division, you will be responsible for all financial activities related to the monthly accounting cycle and month-end close process.
The portfolio of properties will consist of condominium associations, multi-family housing, commercial properties or a combination of all.
The ideal candidate will have a strong fundamental accounting knowledge, problem solving skills and great attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Obtain primary financial data for the preparation of the financial statement package for each property within the assigned portfolio
Monthly duties include, but are not limited to, creating and posting journal entries, managing payables and cash flow, reviewing general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing all supporting documentation
Work closely with a team of property managers and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial statements
Manage workload and provide coverage for team portfolios
Complete daily, monthly, and annual tasks
Examine accounting records and information for accuracy and compliance
Serve as the main point of contact for property managers and clients to resolve any accounting related issues or questions
Ensure monthly property financial reporting is in compliance with relevant accounting standards
Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts
Participate in the preparation of annual operating expense reconciliations
Qualifications
Associate Degree + in Accounting or Finance
3-5years of public/private accounting experience
1-3 years of experience in real estate industry
Accounting experience related to the monthly accounting cycle or month-end close process
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Should possess an understanding and proficient knowledge of our company’s proprietary software including but not limited to Outlook 365, Vantica, Real Page, Yardi.
