Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor Department: Supply Chain Reports to: Plant Manager SANITATION SUPERVISOR We are looking for an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to oversee our plant sanitations operations.
You will ensure that sanitation remains efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
In a fast-paced environment, the supervisor is an integral part of the sanitation process.
This position works closely with the Plant Manager and Floor Supervisors to manage personnel to direct, coordinate and assist in the day-to-day activities of the sanitation department in the safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sanitation Supervisor will oversee and manage plant manufacturing operations within the plant regarding janitorial and sanitation.
They will monitor sanitation technicians and sanitation in their use of chemicals and ensure use of proper safety procedures.
They will determine and maintain efficient production processes which will include writing Standard Operating Procedures with visual controls and then train to these processes.
This individual will provide leadership throughout the department, promoting a positive work environment for both janitorial and sanitation team members.
In striving to obtain and then maintain operational excellence, this individual will provide leadership in driving process improvements, and developing team members to reach their potential.
This role will be responsible for properly scheduling personnel to ensure sanitation procedures within the plant are up to specifications and proper coverage is met at each shift in a 24/7 facility.
The Sanitation Supervisor will train, develop, coach, and supervise the team within the department to ensure safe and effective sanitation practices.
REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food production facility preferably.
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
The possession of quality orientation and attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Hold self and others accountable to food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.
Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 70% or more standing.
The job is performed under some temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment.
Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees.
The ability to lift to 40 lbs.
