Job Summary The best Miners in the world bring a complete skill package to the table – an intuition about how machines work, a critical mind for safety and maintenance, a restlessness to try new things and keep moving, and a curiosity to constantly learn new skills.
A skilled Miner with Loader Operator experience specializing in the operation of Caterpillar 992 and 988 loaders is responsible for efficiently and safely operating heavy equipment within a mining environment.
This role involves loading materials, transporting loads, and contributing to the overall productivity of mining operations.
A skilled Miner also has the willingness to cross train in other pieces of equipment like the Haul Truck, Excavator, Dozer, etc.

Skilled Miners are also very mechanically inclined, assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the plant.
Job Functions Understand the hazards of mining and actively plan to go home safe every day.
Operate Caterpillar 992 and 988 loaders to efficiently load materials, such as ore, overburden, and waste, into haul trucks or onto conveyors.
Cross train in other pieces of equipment like Haul Truck, Dozer, Excavator, etc.
Assist with all plant maintenance projects.
Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on loaders to ensure optimal functionality.
Adhere to safety protocols and equipment operating guidelines during all loading activities.
Transport materials within the mining site, positioning loads for optimal extraction or transport.
Collaborate with other equipment operators and mining personnel to ensure smooth material flow and production efficiency.
Contribute to the achievement of production targets by consistently and accurately loading materials as per production plans.
Work closely with the mining team to understand production goals and adjust loading activities accordingly.
Monitor loader performance and identify any issues or abnormalities that may affect productivity.
Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs.
Collaborate with other mining personnel, including truck operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff, to optimize workflow.
