THE ROLE: Sales Application Engineer
LOCATION: Waukesha, WI
REPORTS TO: VP of Sales

OUR OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Application Engineer specializing in the material handling industry with a focus on integration business.
They will provide technical expertise and guidance to customers during the sales process and identify opportunities for upselling additional products and services to existing customers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage with customers, including industry leaders like Fortna, Dematic, DCS, etc.
, to understand their material handling needs and requirements.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers during the sales process, offering solutions that integrate VRCs, guarding systems, and Mezzanines into their facilities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized solutions and designs tailored to meet customer specifications and optimize material handling processes.
Prepare accurate and detailed quotations based on customer requirements, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
Actively follow up on leads, proposals, and quotations to drive sales closure and achieve revenue targets.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or related engineering field.
Minimum of five years in sales and quoting engineering with technical products, preferably in the material handling industry with a focus on integration business.
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of material handling equipment, including VRCs, guarding systems, and mezzanines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools for design and quotation purposes.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Willingness to travel 10-20% for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
